About Us

Real Endowment Management. Real Shareholder Activism. Real Community Relationships.

We are a group of Yale students who manage a portion of the endowment of Dwight Hall at Yale, a non-profit that serves over seventy service and advocacy organizations at our university.

In our modern approach to socially responsible investing (SRI), we aim to outperform traditional investment benchmarks while integrating environmental and social impact into our investment decisions.

Our Story

On January 1, 2008, with the help of student interest and research, the Trustees of Dwight Hall proposed the creation of a separate fund within the Dwight Hall endowment focused on Socially Responsible Investment (SRI). The SRI Fund was created on the condition that both students and the Trustees are involved in the investment process.

Soon, two more branches were created: Shareholder Engagement and Community Investment, each with its own approach to fulfill the SRI's broader mission of creating positive impact through finance.

Unlike any other student investment organization on campus, we incorporate social responsibility into every aspect of every activity, meaning every investment decision is made with social impact in mind.
